We’re committed to building exciting adventures that are as safe as possible. That’s why we take risk management so seriously and work alongside our local providers to mitigate any potential hazards. In a serious situation, the FCDO may advise against travelling to a country and in these scenarios, our booking terms and conditions would apply.
How we keep you safe:
Dedicated Safety Team
Our dedicated Customer Safety team work exclusively to keep you safe when you travel with us
Local Experts
We work with expert in-country teams and local Pack Leaders who know and understand our destinations better than anyone
Safety Guidelines
Our adventures are risk assessed in tandem with our in-country experts to keep you safe when travelling
Before booking your adventure:
Read the advice for the country that you’d like to travel to using the travel alert links above.
Check the itinerary. Flash Pack adventures often require some level of active participation. Do you feel you would be capable of participating in the listed activities?
If the Pack Leader feels that someone is endangering the safety of the group, themselves or another person on the tour they have the right to require that this person leaves the group.
Tour chosen? Time to check that your insurance covers all activities (and any optional activities you’d like to do).
Make sure you’ve let us know about any physical or mental illnesses and allergies before you travel so that we can ensure we can keep you safe.
Please note, in certain circumstances we may ask for proof of medical fitness to travel.
On your adventure
All Flash Pack adventures feature a dedicated Pack Leader, who’ll always be on hand to help with anything
If you choose to take an optional activity, please use your discretion when making these bookings – Safety should always be a key consideration.
In your free time you’ll be able to explore at your own pace. Each country that we travel to has their own issues with crime and when you’re exploring somewhere new you are more vulnerable. Your Pack Leader will give you more information at your welcome briefing but please ensure that you take the same precautions you would do at home when you are travelling, if not more.
For emergency situations, we provide you with both our local office phone number and our UK 24hr emergency line. You’ll find this in the Flash Pack app.
Travel Insurance
Both travel and flight insurance are mandatory for everyone that travels with Flash Pack. In the rare event that there is an accident or emergency whilst on a trip, it is important that you have the correct insurance policy. Travel and flight insurance also gives you peace of mind and allows you to enjoy your adventure without worry. For more information on our mandatory travel insurance policy, please click here.
Travel Alerts
Flash Pack receives travel updates from both the FCDO and the US Department of State alongside real-time updates from our teams in-country and independent risk mitigation partners. Our Customer Safety team uses these updates to evaluate how our groups might be affected and create the travel alerts you see below. These, alongside the safety updates we receive from our risk advisors, help us to make decisions about any changes or cancellations that we need to make to our adventures.
