What are the cancellation charges if I decide to cancel my booking within 72 hours of booking?
We offer a full refund or a free transfer to another departure if you change your mind within 72 hours of purchase.
However, please note that this refund policy does not apply if your trip departs within 60 days or if it is marked as βon request,β as we need to secure your accommodation and internal flights. Additionally, this policy excludes the following adventures: Rwanda: Gorilla Trekking & Volcanoes, Summer Iceland, Azores: the Emerald Isles (May to September departure dates), Kenya: Maasai Mara Safari (May to September departure dates) and Antarctic Highlights: The Peninsula, as we commit to payments for these destinations earlier.β
What are the cancellation charges if I decide to cancel my booking more than 72 hours after booking?
Cancellation charges vary depending on the time of cancellation before the tour start date. The below terms do not apply to our Rwanda or Antarctica adventures. If you would like to understand the cancellation fees for these destinations, please speak to our team.
Here is a breakdown of the cancellation charges based on the number of days prior to the tour start date:
90 and more days: retention of deposit
45-89 days: 50% of balance of tour or retention of deposit if higher
30-45 days: 75% of tour cost
29-0 days: 100% of tour cost
Can I move my booking to a new date or adventure?

Yes, you can transfer your booking to a different adventure or date, as long as the adventure you are currently booked on is 60 days or more away from starting. Thereafter, all changes will be treated as cancellations and subject to the charges listed above.
There is a small administration fee of US $95 (or equivalent in your currency) that will apply to the transfer.
Why is there a transfer fee?
This charge is imposed by our local suppliers as transferring details from one departure to another is a very time-consuming and admin-heavy process. Similar to amending train or flight ticket departure dates, we ask for an administrative fee to cover this cost.
